When is God’s Power revealed the most? – When everything is going wrong! David was not a young man when he wrote Psalm 63. He was facing enormous opposition, adversity, such a struggle, such a battle, and so often alone. So he’s saying, “O God, when I’m in the dry place, when I’m thirsty, when everything around me is barren, when the enemy is raging against me, when everything is difficult – I want to see Your Power in my extremity – as I once saw it in the Sanctuary!” When we’re threatened and suffering, THEN God reveal’s His Glory through our deliverance!
What is God's strategy?
God always has a clear plan and strategy in everything He does. From creation to salvation, nothing has happened in heaven or earth without the foreknowledge of God. An important part of the strategy which God has for today is that He wants to show that His power is not just in heaven, but also demonstrated very powerfully on earth. I have a vision of a God who is so much bigger than you or I can ever imagine! The God of the Bible, has so much more power, is so much bigger, more glorious, more exciting than anything you could dream about! So, start dreaming, but then for God’s sake stop dreaming and start to do something! Lessons from 70 years of ministry: 'For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance.' (Part 12)
The Bread of Life
Our life is in Christ, He is our source and provider: we live by the Words which proceed out of the mouth of God. In John 6:35, Jesus says, “I am the Bread of Life, whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in Me shall never thirst.” To have Christ is have all that we need for life.
Possess all the blessings of God
Possess the promises of God! So many believers are living in spiritual lack because they don’t understand the promises of God, and the power available to those who believe. Don’t just take the ‘spiritual’ blessings - take the land: possess what you need in the material realm as well. When Israel went in to the Promised Land, it meant war: but if they won, as God said they would, they could have an abundance, ‘a land flowing with milk and honey’, all their material needs supplied. Jesus has Power to work miracles
By faith we believe
Blessed are those who believe
Blessed are those who believe; though you do not see Him, you trust Jesus, and rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. Even though you can't see Jesus, even though you can't touch Him, you can talk to Him through prayer. Jesus is as close to you as the words on your lips. Jesus said, 'Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed' - there is a blessing upon those who believe.
The Father God in Jesus
The Father God was in Jesus, and Jesus in Him. From the beginning, Jesus was with God, and Jesus was God. All things were made through and by Him for His Glory. When God wanted to show His love for you, He sent His Son into the world. How did Jesus work miracles of healing? It was because He is God. How will God work miracles in your life? - Through His Spirit living and working through you.
